Job summary

The State of Washington Dept. of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, seeks a Rehabilitation Technician 1 to support counselors and participants.

This role blends front desk coordination with case-management tasks to help people with disabilities pursue employment. You'll handle intake, eligibility steps, information gathering, and schedules, while ensuring accurate data entry and timely follow-up in the DVR systems.

Qualifications

• Two years of college-level coursework and at least one year of direct customer service experience.
• Ability to explain DVR programs, services and eligibility requirements.
• Experience gathering information for Individual Plan for Employment.

Responsibilities

• Front desk duties: greet participants, answer phones, sign-in and direct inquiries.
• Enter new applications into Case Management System within five days of signing.
• Assist with gathering information for the Individual Plan for Employment.
• Monitor participant progress and maintain regular contact with customers.
• Schedule interpreters, service providers, and VRC meetings.
• Audit case records and manage documentation related to eligibility and AFPs.
