Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services' Division of Vocational Rehabilitation seeks a Rehabilitation Technician 1 to support counselors, assist participants at the front desk, and help manage applications and referrals.

This role blends customer service with back-end case processing, calendar coordination, vendor quotes, and ensuring timely data entry, eligibility steps, and progress monitoring to help individuals achieve employment goals.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework and at least one year of direct customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate with diverse individuals and explain DVR programs.
• Knowledge of DVR policies and data entry within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk support, greet participants, answer phones, and manage reception area.
• Explain DVR programs, services, and eligibility requirements to prospective participants.
• Enter new applications into the Case Management System within five days of signing.
• Gather information for the Individual Plan for Employment and obtain quotes from vendors.
• Monitor participant progress, document documentation, and maintain regular contact with customers.
• Schedule appointments with interpreters, service providers, and VRCs.
• Assist with case movement: collect diagnostic info within 30 days, monitor AFPs, and audit case records.
