Job summary

Cooney Transport Ltd. is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care.

The PTA will document accurately, maintain safety, educate residents and families, and help with discharge planning, treatment goals, and home exercise programs.

Licensure as a PTA and competence with Net Health/Point Click Care preferred; strong communication with interdisciplinary team required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control practices.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
• Assist with discharge planning and goals communication.
• Communicate with the supervising PT for updates to physicians and staff.
• Provide in-services on training programs as needed.
