Job summary

Westerville SNF Healthcare, LLC Staff Physical Therapist Assistant role supporting the Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care.

Responsibilities include treating residents as directed, accurate documentation, infection control, and participation in care conferences; must be licensed PTA and proficient with Net Health and Point Click Care. CPR may be required by licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policies.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers and families.
• Mathematical skills: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain timely, accurate, compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment per infection control protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist nursing with training Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising PT for updates to physicians and staff.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment to aid mobility.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and company information.
• Contribute to quality assurance and facility rehabilitation program development.
