Job summary

CarnegiePark is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care in a skilled nursing setting. You will handle timely documentation, ensure safety and infection control, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, families, and physicians regarding progress and discharge planning.

An associate PTA degree and active state license are required; digital charting in Net Health and PointClickCare is

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program is required.
• Proficiency with electronic charting in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read and follow policies and procedures.
• Good communication with the care team and families.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in line with requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control practices.
• Assist in training Restorative Aides and participate in care conferences.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with the team and families.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise and safety.
• Support equipment orders to aid resident independence.
• Respect confidentiality of resident and company information.
