Job summary

MISSIONHEALTHCARE is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the licensed Physical Therapist in resident care. This role emphasizes accurate documentation, infection control, and collaborative care planning to optimize resident outcomes.

The PTA will assist with treatment, participate in conferences, educate residents and families, and help ensure safety and quality in the rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and follow written or diagrams instructions.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain safe treatment environment per infection control and safety protocols.
• Assist in training Restorative Aides as needed.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with the team and families.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend durable medical equipment to support resident independence.
• Respect confidentiality of resident and company information.
