Job summary

Richland area facility seeks a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist with resident care and treatment plans, documenting promptly and accurately per facility and payer requirements.

Must have an Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program and be licensed as a PTA in the state. Proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care is required; CPR may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state and maintain licensure with CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising PT to update physicians, nursing staff, and families.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
