Job summary

The University of Southern California's Keck Hospital Rehabilitation Services Department is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage patient appointments for Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy, including follow-ups and surgery scheduling. You will use Cerner, RevID, Outlook and Teams to access patient data, enter scheduling details and coordinate with therapists.

You will maintain the department calendar, verify patient identity, handle inquiries with courtesy, and ensure timely

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• 2 years prior experience as a scheduler.
• Experience with computer systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required within 30 days of hire (LA City only).

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and follow-ups and/or surgeries.
• Verifies insurance and obtains authorizations.
• Maintains master appointment calendar for rehab services.
• Uses Cerner, RevID, Outlook and Teams for scheduling and communication.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and handles reception duties.
• Routes calls and requests to appropriate personnel and supports front office operations.
