Job summary

Zippy is seeking a Manager of Quality Assurance to lead pre-close and post-close loan reviews across the origination lifecycle. You will coach QA analysts, manage performance, and ensure findings align with policy and investor requirements.

You will translate QA trends into practical improvements, collaborate with Origination, Underwriting, and Compliance, and drive calibration to reduce repeat issues in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in mortgage, consumer lending, manufactured housing lending, loan operations, QA, quality control, compliance, or similar financial services.
• 3+ years of direct people-management experience, including coaching and performance management.
• Experience overseeing both pre-close and post-close quality reviews strongly preferred.
• Strong investigative and research skills across multiple systems and data sources.
• Manufactured housing or specialty finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of QA professionals responsible for pre‑close and post‑close loan reviews.
• Manage performance concerns promptly with clear expectations and improvement plans.
• Assess training needs and deliver or coordinate training, calibration, mentoring, and development opportunities.
• Support employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and readiness for expanded responsibilities.
• Oversee pre‑close and post‑close QA reviews across the full loan origination process.
• Maintain strong quality controls by monitoring removal rates, investor findings, and recurring issues.
• Conduct calibration sessions and validate QA to ensure policy and investor requirements are met.
• Escalate material risks and track corrective actions through resolution.
• Translate QA data into concise insights for managers and leadership.
