Job summary

Zippy is seeking a Manager, Quality Assurance to lead pre‑close and post‑close QA across the loan origination lifecycle. You will coach QA analysts, manage performance, and ensure findings align with policy, regulatory, and investor requirements.

This role blends hands-on QA with strong people leadership in a fast‑moving, remote‑first environment. You’ll drive consistency, identify risks, and translate QA trends into actionable improvements across Origination, Underwriting, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in mortgage, consumer lending, manufactured housing lending, loan operations, underwriting, quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or a comparable financial services function.
• 3+ years of direct people-management experience, including coaching, performance management, training, workload planning, and employee development.
• Experience overseeing both pre‑close and post‑close quality reviews strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of QA professionals responsible for pre‑close and post‑close loan reviews.
• Manage performance concerns, documentation of expectations and improvement plans.
• Conduct calibration sessions and targeted review validation to ensure consistent interpretation and application of requirements.
• Escalate material, systemic, or emerging risks and track corrective actions through resolution.
• Oversee QA reviews across the full loan origination process and identify policy, procedural, regulatory, or investor risks.
• Translate QA data into concise, actionable insights for managers and senior leadership.
• Build relationships with Origination, Underwriting, Operations, Compliance, Credit Risk, Technology, and other stakeholders.
