Job summary

Zippy is seeking a Manager, Quality Assurance to lead our pre‑close and post‑close QA program across the loan origination lifecycle. You will coach QA analysts, manage performance, and ensure findings align with policy, regulatory, and investor requirements in a dynamic, remote‑first environment.

You will partner with Origination, Underwriting, Operations, Compliance, and Credit Risk to deliver timely, accurate reviews while driving process improvements and reducing repeat issues.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in mortgage, consumer lending, manufactured housing lending, loan operations, underwriting, quality assurance, quality control, compliance, or a comparable financial services function.
• 3+ years of direct people‑management experience, including coaching, performance management, training, workload planning, and employee development.
• Experience overseeing both pre‑close and post‑close quality reviews strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and investor requirements to complex or ambiguous fact patterns.
• Strong investigative and research skills, including navigating multiple systems, reconciling conflicting information, and documenting supportable conclusions.
• Manufactured housing or specialty finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of QA professionals for pre‑close and post‑close loan reviews.
• Manage performance concerns, expectations, and improvement plans.
• Identify training needs and coordinate calibration, mentoring, and development opportunities.
• Oversee pre‑close and post‑close QA reviews across the full loan origination process.
• Maintain quality controls by monitoring findings, investor issues, and program measures.
• Escalate material or systemic risks and track corrective actions through resolution.
• Manage queues, priorities, capacity, and throughput across QA reviews.
• Translate QA findings into actionable insights for managers and leadership.
