The Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) seeks a motivated Investigative Assistant to join the Licensing Division in Des Moines. You’ll support the investigation and disciplinary process, manage complaints, and coordinate with boards and health professionals.

Ideal candidates have solid reporting skills, ability to meet deadlines, and comfort working with diverse populations. A bachelor’s degree is required, and background in investigations or case management is

Professional, courteous, and ethical conduct in all interactions.
Detail oriented with focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
Ability to gain knowledge of statutes, rules, and professional standards.
Able to work collaboratively with teams and external partners.

Responsabilités

Serve as key contact for the complaint, investigative and disciplinary process.
Review and prioritize complaints; route to Board or initiate investigations as needed.
Enter and maintain investigative files in database; monitor status of cases.
Coordinate with Boards Health Professions Investigators and provide background information.
Prepare investigative files for hearings; assist with documentation and records.
