Job summary

The Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) seeks an Investigative Assistant (Program Assistant 2) for the Licensing Division in Des Moines. The role involves coordinating with Board staff, compiling information for hearings, and supporting enforcement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field required or five years of related education/experience alternative.
• Experience with administrative support and handling high-volume tasks preferred.
• Ability to learn statutes, rules, and professional standards quickly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as key contact for complaints, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
• Review and prioritize complaints; route to Board, subpoenas, or investigations as needed.
• Enter and maintain investigative files and monitor status of cases.
• Communicate with complainants, patients, and licensees with clarity and professionalism.
• Coordinate investigations with Health Professions Investigators and other stakeholders.
• Prepare materials for Board meetings and provide quarterly data reports.
