The Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, & Licensing (DIAL) is seeking a Unit Manager for the Adult & Special Services Unit within the Health & Safety Division. The role oversees certification and licensure for numerous care facilities and child programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate state and federal survey processes to ensure certification, compliance, and inspection activities meet standards.
• Lead and develop personnel through recruitment, onboarding, and training on investigative methods and performance management.
• Maintain survey databases and deliver reports/briefings to leadership, legislators, partners and the public.
• Oversee complaint triage and investigation procedures with proper evidence-gathering techniques.
