This position combines technical expertise, analytical judgment, and collaboration to help students navigate registration requirements and progress toward graduation.
The Registration Officer manages registration updates; evaluates and articulates transfer coursework; evaluates and awards credit for prior learning; maintains grades and transcripts; and supports graduation processing. reviewing and correcting records for external enrollment reporting, and calculating student‑athlete academic eligibility. Working closely with students, faculty, academic departments, advising and student‑success staff, Athletics, and system partners, the Registration Officer interprets and applies institutional and South Dakota Board of Regents requirements. The position resolves academic record and registration issues, safeguards confidential information, maintains accurate public and internal resources, supports and trains office staff, and makes assigned operational decisions in the Registrar's absence.
