Ascension is seeking a qualified Medical Sonographer to join the Outpatient Imaging team at Optimal Imaging Ascension St. Vincent's in Jacksonville, Florida.
You will perform vascular, general, and OB diagnostic procedures, position patients, and select precise parameters for optimal imaging, ensuring safety and quality. This role requires BLS within 30 days and ARDMS/ARRT/CCI credentials as applicable, with education options from high school equivalency plus experience to an associate/technical

Schedule: Day shift | PRN
Perform vascular/general/OB diagnostic procedures to detect disease or obstructions.
Position patients and select precise technical parameters for optimal imaging.
Monitor patient safety during tests and alert physicians to any clinical abnormalities.
Ensure equipment functionality and maintain an organized, compliant department.
Oversee the prompt submission of high-quality images and clinical data to PACS.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
