Job summary

AdventHealth Oviedo Outpatient Imaging in Oviedo, FL is hiring a full-time ultrasound technologist. Schedule: Thursday-Saturday 7am-7pm; Location: Oviedo, FL. Sign-on: Up to $10k. Attends department meetings and ensures high-quality scans while following exam protocols to adapt to each patient.

Responsibilities include confirming patient identity, documenting procedures, and collaborating with Radiologists. Requires RDMS (AB) and RDMS-OBGYN, RVT or RT(VS)/RVS, and BLS.

Qualifications

• RDMS (AB) certification required.
• RDMS-OBGYN certification required.
• RVt or RT(VS) or RVS credential required.
• 2+ years of vascular sonography experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Must read/write English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Attends department meetings and supports department objectives.
• Obtains high-quality scans following exam protocols and patient specifics.
• Verifies patient and exam accuracy using two identifiers before exams.
• Performs, documents, and reports procedures per policy.
• Reviews images and completes ultrasound worksheets; re-scan as needed.

Job Description:

• Attends department meetings and engages in positive dialogue to support department objectives.
• Obtains high-quality scans by following proper exam protocols and adapting procedures to each patient's medical situation.
• Other duties as assigned. Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two patient identifiers before administering exams.
• Performs, documents, and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy.
• Reviews images and completes ultrasound worksheets promptly, re-scanning patients as requested by Radiologists.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Abdomen, Abdominal Doppler, OB/Gyn, Small Parts, Vascular, and Interventional Sonographic procedures [Required]
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to the computer and AGFA Pacs system [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
• Ability to function independently with little or no supervision [Required]
• Ability to read and write legibly in English and perform basic mathematics skills [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively [Required]
• Ability to perform venous ultrasound Doppler [Required]
• Ability for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative [Required]
• Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment [Preferred]

• Pediatric and Neuro Sonography knowledge [Preferred]
• Basic EKG knowledge [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or equivalent [Required]

Work Experience:

• 2+ years experience in vascular sonography [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS (AB) [Required]
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with OB/GYN Spec (RDMS-OBGYN) [Required]
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required] OR Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography RT(VS)(ARRT) [Required] OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)[Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

$28.97 - $53.88
