Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist specialized in cardiac imaging to join the Diagnostic Cardiology team on a full-time day schedule.

The role involves operating and maintaining imaging equipment, selecting optimal exam parameters, and generating high-quality images for PACS. Requirements include BLS, relevant ARRT/ARDMS/CCI credentials, and flexibility to meet hire date timelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI within 12 months of hire date.
• Radiologic Technologist – Cardiac Radiography credentialed from ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist credentialed from ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from ARDMS within 12 months of hire date.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from CCI within 12 months of hire date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from ARDMS within 12 months of hire date.
• Sonography Tech – Cardiac credentialed from CCI within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Operate, adjust, and maintain imaging equipment while positioning patients and selecting parameters.
• Perform routine and complex imaging studies and assist with various imaging procedures.
• Recognize structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations to ensure quality images.
• Implement safety and quality control standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and accurate patient information to PACS.

Schedule: Full-time | Days | Monday-Friday 6a-4:30p 10 hour shifts with rotating day off. Call Rotation required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Operate, adjust, and maintain imaging equipment while accurately positioning patients and selecting appropriate anatomical and technical parameters for diagnostic examinations.

• Perform routine and complex imaging studies, manually maneuver transducers as required, and assist with a variety of imaging procedures.

• Recognize relevant anatomical structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations to ensure accurate image acquisition and diagnostic quality.

• Implement safety and quality control standards while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and departmental requirements.

• Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, including accurate patient information and lead markers, while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly imaging environment.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Cardiac-Intrvn Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Registered Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:
