Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care and collaborate with physicians in a 7 pm–7 am shift at Mercy Hospital, Saint Louis. The role requires an RCP license, NBRC-certified RRT, and ACLS as a preferred qualification. Sign-on bonus available up to $10,000.

• Consult and collaborate with physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
• Complete duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
