Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver direct patient care per physician orders and consult on therapy effectiveness. The role serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff and involves performing duties as assigned.

The shift is 7 pm–7 am with eligible shift differential. A graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program with an active RCP license and NBRC RRT credential is required; ACLS is preferred, and PALS may be needed for

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Holders of NBRC RRT credential; ER staff may require PALS.
• ACLS is preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and mobility tasks.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience: None.
• Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.
• Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
• Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
