Job summary

Ascension Kyle, TX is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate patients, develop tailored care plans and administer advanced respiratory therapies to maximize recovery outcomes.

You will monitor real-time patient responses, adjust treatments, educate patients and families, and participate in emergency resuscitation as a key member of the urgent response team within the Respiratory Care department.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire date (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner credential required.
• NBRC Registered credential required before hire.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Develop tailored care plans: Evaluate patients with respiratory insufficiencies to establish comprehensive, diagnosis-based treatment strategies.
• Deliver advanced respiratory care: Administer complex care modalities, manage specialized equipment and monitor real-time patient conditions to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Optimize clinical effectiveness: Continuously assess medication responses and treatment performance to adjust care plans based on individual patient progress.
• Empower patients and families: Educate patients and caregivers on managing their conditions while connecting them with vital community support programs.
• Lead emergency resuscitation: Respond swiftly to life-threatening resuscitation codes as a key member of the urgent response team.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued.
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
