Job summary

Ascension in Burnet, TX is hiring a qualified registered nurse to join the Cardiac Rehabilitation team on the day shift. You’ll develop personalized care plans, deliver respiratory therapies and monitor patient progress to support heart and lung health.

This full-time role requires an active Texas RN license, BLS certification within 30 days, and a nursing diploma. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and participate in emergency response when needed.

• Registered Nurse licensed by Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Develop personalized care plans: Assess patients thoroughly to establish tailored treatment plans and intervention frequencies based on specific clinical diagnoses.
• Deliver advanced respiratory therapies: Implement complex care modalities, manage specialized equipment and closely monitor patient progress to optimize pulmonary outcomes.
• Track patient progress and adapt care: Evaluate treatment efficacy and medication responses continuously, updating care plans and communicating real-time updates to the multidisciplinary care team.
• Empower patients and families: Educate individuals and caregivers on health conditions, self-management techniques and community support resources to encourage long-term wellness.
• Lead rapid emergency response: Respond swiftly to resuscitation codes, providing critical life-support interventions during urgent patient events.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
