Job summary

BayCare Health System in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an Operating Room Pool RN to support the BayCare NB Surgery team at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, FL. The role requires RN licensure, BLS, ACLS if needed, and flexible in-person shifts with a 48-hour six-week schedule commitment.

The ideal candidate has OR experience, strong clinical and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to precept and serve as charge nurse when assigned.

Qualifications

• RN with minimum 18 months Operating Room experience or equivalent.
• Minimum commitment of 48 hours per six-week schedule.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and RN licensure; ACLS if required by department.
• Preferred Nurse Specialty.

Responsibilities

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization.
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Summary
