Job summary

BayCare Health System in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an Operating Room Pool RN for Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, FL. The role focuses on independent patient care within a sub-specialty team and collaboration with the health care staff to maintain nursing standards.

The position requires at least 18 months of OR experience, a minimum commitment of 48 hours per six-week schedule, and an active RN license with BLS.

Summary:

The Operating Room Pool RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

For this position, we strongly prefer at least 18 months Operating Room experience as an RN for consideration. This position requires a minimum commitment of 48 hours per six-week schedule.

Experience :

• Required includes 1 years acute care experience or 1 years Interventional/Procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or Interventional/Procedural experiencewith prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment
• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
