Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for General Surgery 3W to deliver patient care using the nursing process, coordinate with care teams, and uphold Mercy standards and patient rights.

This full-time role requires an RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of patient care experience, with a 7:00pm–7:00am shift and a location at Mercy Hospital South.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years patient care experience.
• BSN degree preferred.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
