Mercy Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W in St. Louis, MO. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week with a 7:00 pm–7:00 am shift, focused on delivering high-quality postoperative care.

The nurse will utilize the nursing process, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality while aligning with Mercy's mission and standards. Qualifications include nursing program grad, RN license (state or compact), BLS, and at least 2

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Supervisor experience preferred.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
