Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for General Surgery 3W. This full-time role offers a 36-hour week with a 7:00 pm – 7:00 am shift and centers on delivering patient care using the nursing process.

You will coordinate with other departments, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and assess care effectiveness while aligning with Mercy's mission and standards. RN license in state/compact required and 2+ years of patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
