Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W in Saint Louis, MO. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinating with other departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active RN licensure (state or compact), BLS certification within 30 days, and a minimum of 2 years of patient care experience. A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
