Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in General Surgery 3W. The role is full-time (36 hours per week) with day shifts.

The nurse will use the nursing process to care for patients, uphold patient rights, and coordinate with departments to ensure quality care in alignment with Mercy standards. Applicants should have an accredited nursing program graduate status, an active RN license (or compact licensure), BLS certification within 30 days, and at least 2 years of patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
