Job summary

Mercy is hiring an RN for the General Surgery 3W unit. The role involves providing direct patient care using the nursing process, coordinating care with other departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality. Requires at least 2 years of experience and an active RN license with BLS.

The position is full-time with a 36-hour week, day shift 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, located at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
