Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery on 3W at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. This full-time position requires 36 hours per week with days and a 7:00pm–7:00am shift.

The role emphasizes applying the nursing process, patient care, and coordination with other departments to ensure optimal outcomes. Required are graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active RN license in the hiring state or compacts, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
• 2 years of patient care experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
