Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis is seeking a Registered Nurse for General Surgery 3W to provide direct patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient plans while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

This full-time role on the night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS certification, and at least two years of patient care experience.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must hold current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
