Job summary

Mercy seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in General Surgery 3W at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. The role uses the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care and coordinates with other departments to optimize outcomes.

Full-time, 36 hours per week, night shift 7:00 pm–7:00 am. Requires RN licensure in the hiring state or compact licensure, plus BLS. Two years of patient care experience is required; BSN is preferred. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Position Details:

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
