Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO seeks a Registered Nurse for the General Surgery 3W unit. This full-time role uses the nursing process to provide patient care and coordinates with other departments to maintain patient rights and confidentiality.

The role is 36 hours per week with a 7:00pm–7:00am shift. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure in the state, BLS within 30 days, and at least 2 years of patient care experience. A BSN is preferred.

• Supervisor experience is preferred.

Position Details:

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
