Job summary

Ecumen Brooks in Owatonna, Minnesota, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to ensure health and safety needs of residents are met and to maintain compliance with current regulations and standards.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule during typical business hours, with a pay range of $40.00–$45.00 per hour. Ecumen provides a comprehensive benefits package and supports a mission of compassionate, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
• Facility policies and safety regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments for residents and implement move-in service plans.
• Maintain medical records and care plans with timely assessments and documentation.
• Ensure physician orders are signed and executed within 24 hours.
• Oversee medication administration and medical equipment use; communicate with physicians.
• Train and educate staff on health and medication procedures; document training for compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $40.00 - $45.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Conduct initial assessments for new residents and implement service agreements at move-in.
2. Maintain up-to-date medical records and care plans; ensure timely assessments and proper documentation.
3. Ensure physician orders are signed and carried out within 24 hours.
4. Oversee medication administration and medical equipment use; communicate with physicians as needed.
5. Assist with training new staff on health and medication procedures and provide ongoing education; document all training for compliance.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the state in which working and must maintain licensure
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Previous experience working with seniors
