Job summary

Ecumen Pathstone in Mankato, MN is seeking a Nurse Manager RN to supervise and coach nursing staff delivering resident care in accord with state and federal regulations. This leadership role coordinates care from admission to discharge and ensures compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures including HIPAA, infection control, and universal precautions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure campus policies and regulatory requirements for nursing care are followed.
• Coordinate and direct resident care from admission to discharge with other departments.
• Complete assessments, documentation, and timely action on findings.
• Administer medications and monitor residents' conditions.
• Train and educate team members; manage performance and resolve issues.
• Maintain resident and staff safety and enforce infection control policies.
• Document care accurately in the patient records as per policy.
• Coordinate new employee orientation with support staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, typical business hours. 80 scheduled hours every 2 weeks. On Call rotation every 5-6 weeks - Friday Evening- Monday Morning. Leader on Duty Rotation - roughly 4 times per year.

Pay:

The targeted pay range for this job is $90,000 - $110,000 per year. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensures that campus policies and procedures, State and Federal requirements, rules and regulations as they relate to nursing care are adhered to.
2. Responsible for coordination and direction of all resident care. Coordinates care and services with other departments/providers from the time of admission to discharge.
3. Completes appropriate assessments, documentation, delegating data collection within scope of practice and acting timely on findings.
4. Administers medications, completes treatments as ordered and accurately observes and monitors resident's condition on an ongoing basis.
5. Trains and educates team members. Plans and directs work, completes performance appraisals, delivers corrective action to team members, and addresses complaints and problem resolution.
6. Maintains safety of residents and team members. Responds appropriately to safety hazards and reports any issues to the appropriate person. Ensures that all staff follow the infection control policy and procedure.
7. Charts, documents and communicates care related information in the manner dictated by nursing practice and facility policy.
8. Coordinates new employee site orientation with the assistance of support staff.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the state in which working and must maintain licensure
• Two years of nursing experience
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Previous experience working with seniors
