Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift in the Stepdown Intermediate Care PCU. You will deliver compassionate nursing care, follow established clinical standards, and coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and comfort.

You will monitor health progress, adapt interventions, and execute physician orders with precision to maintain a safe healing environment and plan for discharge with the team.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Florida RN license must be active before hire date.
• Diploma or higher from an accredited nursing program.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care by following established clinical standards and organizational protocols to maximize patient safety and comfort.

• Manage individualized patient care plans by continually monitoring health progress and adapting interventions to ensure optimal recovery and treatment outcomes.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary healthcare teams as the central point of contact, ensuring seamless communication and highly integrated care for every patient.

• Execute medical orders with precision, accurately noting and carrying out physician and nursing directives to maintain a safe, continuous healing environment.

• Champion smooth patient transitions by proactively assessing and planning for discharge needs alongside the healthcare team, setting patients up for success at home.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

• At least a year of acute care bedside experience.
