Ascension Health in Murfreesboro, TN seeks a Registered Nurse in the Postpartum department for PRN night shifts. You will implement and monitor care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and execute physician and nursing orders to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include discharge planning coordination, documentation, and maintaining high-quality patient care during nights. Licensure and neonatal care certifications are required or obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or equivalent licensure at time of hire.
• TN RN license or multi-state Compact license recognized.
• BLS certification required at hire or within 1 month.
• NRP certification required within 6 months.
• STABLE program certification required within 6 months.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained within 2 Minutes (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
