Job summary

Ascension Health in Murfreesboro, TN invites a Registered Nurse to join the Saint Thomas Cardiovascular Surgery team. The role focuses on cardiovascular patient care in a full-time, day-shift setting at Saint Thomas Cardiovascular Surgery.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date is required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing prior to hire date or job transfer date is required.

Responsibilities

• Advocate & Strategist: bring patient care plans to life, implementing and monitoring them to meet patient needs.
• Vigilant Communicator: act as the expert voice for patients, monitoring conditions and communicating updates to the team in real time.
• Precision Execution: interpret and carry out physician and nursing orders with clinical accuracy.
• Bridge to Home: lead discharge planning from day one, ensuring safe and confident transitions home.

• Bridge to Home: You'll lead the discharge planning process from day one, collaborating across the care team to ensure your patients have everything they need for a safe and confident transition home.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
