Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, is hiring an RN for a Stepdown and Critical Care Float, full-time days. The role requires a TN RN license, ALS, and BLS certifications, with a diploma from an accredited nursing program.

You will act as a primary care team liaison, ensure timely care plans, and coordinate resources across specialties. Expect collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to maintain patient safety and high-quality care in a busy hospital

Responsibilities

• Plan execution and oversite: actively implementing and adjusting care plans while monitoring patient status.
• Clinical communication: translating orders into action and documenting outcomes for the team.
• Interdisciplinary liaison: coordinating among medical disciplines to prevent treatment silos.
• Resource coordination: assessing patient needs and pulling in the appropriate healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Interdisciplinary Liaison: Serving as the primary point of contact between different medical disciplines to prevent "silos" in treatment.
• Resource Coordination: Assessing the patientâs evolving needs and pulling in the necessary healthcare team members to meet them.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
