Ascension is hiring a Registered Nurse for Saint Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. This night-shift, full-time position is in the Postpartum department, focusing on implementing care plans and monitoring patients to ensure safe, effective care.

You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate interdisciplinary treatment and plan smooth discharges, contributing to a supportive patient experience and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date.
• RN credentialed by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Clinical Execution: Implement patient care plans and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Patient Monitoring: Observe, document, and communicate the patient's condition accurately.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Serve as the primary coordinator to ensure well-integrated care across all disciplines.
• Discharge Planning: Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and manage patient discharge needs.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
