Job summary

Ascension Health in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Part-time Night Shift RN to join the Progressive Care Unit and help implement and monitor patient care plans with a focus on coordinated multidisciplinary care.

You will note and carry out physician orders, assess discharge planning needs, and work with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care. Minimum RN licensure in Wisconsin and BLS required; a nursing diploma from an accredited program is expected.

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire required
• Diploma from accredited nursing program or equivalent required

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
