Ascension Health in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Night Shift RN for the Studer Family Children's Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart Pediatric Emergency Department. You will implement and monitor patient care plans and coordinate care across disciplines.

Responsibilities include documenting patient condition, executing physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning with the healthcare team. Requires Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS within specified timelines and a nursing diploma.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in Florida prior to hire date
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; Instructor in BLS acceptable
• ACLS/ALCS (Advanced Life Support) within 6 months of hire; Instructor in ACLS acceptable

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.




• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.




• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):




• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition \"Compact State\" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.




• One or more of the following:




• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.




• Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.




• One or more of the following:




• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.




• Instructor specializing in Advanced Cardio Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
