Job summary

Columbus Regional Health is seeking a part-time registered nurse for the Orthopedics/CRH unit in Columbus, IN. The role covers nights (7pm–7:30am) on a 24-hour weekly schedule with rotating weekends and holidays, on-site care for post-surgical orthopedics, GYN, urology, and stroke rehab patients. ASN or equivalent is required; BSN preferred.

Indiana RN license (or multi-state license via NLC) is required. BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days; role includes lifting >50 lbs and frequent

• Associate of Nursing (ASN) or equivalent required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State RN License via the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care on the 15-bed Orthopedics/Neuro unit.
• Assist patients with mobility, daily activities and lifting (>50 lbs).
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.

What you need to know about this position:

Our Orthopedics/Neuro unit is a 15-bed inpatient nursing unit with an emphasis on wellness and rehabilitation.

The patients on this unit are primarily post-surgical orthopedics, GYN and urological populationsas well as patients recovering from strokes.

Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

This position is hourly and is eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums.

In a status of at least 16 hours per week, employees are benefit eligible.

What is required for this position:

Upon hire, you must have:

• Associate of Nursing (ASN) or equivalent required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required.

Within 30 days of hire you must have:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.*

*If you do not have it, CRH provides training & time to acquire certification after employment.

This position requires frequent standing, walking, talking and listening and lifting or moving more than 50 lbs.
