Job summary

Columbus Regional Health seeks a compassionate RN for our 18-bed inpatient mental health unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for adults 18+ with acute mental illness, ensuring safety and individualized treatment.

Position is on-site with 24 hours per week, shift evenings with weekend/holiday premiums; benefits available after eligibility. Requires ASN/BSN, Indiana RN license, and BLS (training provided if needed).

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN required to practice nursing.
• Indiana RN license required; Multi-State licensure acceptable.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire; CRH provides training if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient mental health nursing care for adults 18+ on an 18-bed unit.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in daily rounds, assessments, and patient safety interventions.

Position Overview

What you need to know about this position:

Our Mental Health unit (housed on the Columbus Regional Health campus) is an 18-bed secure inpatient unit treating adults 18 and older who are experiencing acute mental illness.

We provide an individualized program for the intensive treatment of mental disorders, which includes a plan of care specific to each patient's circumstance and goals of the treatment.

Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

This position is hourly and is eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums.

In a status of at least 16 hours per week, employees are benefit eligible.

Required Qualifications

What is required for this position:

• Upon hire, you must have:
• Associate of Nursing (ASN) or equivalent required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required.

Within 30 days of hire you must have:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.*
• *If you do not have it, CRH provides training & time to acquire certification after employment.
• This position requires frequent standing, walking, talking and listening and lifting or moving more than 50 lbs.
