Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas River Park in McMinnville, TN, is seeking a full-time Day Shift RN for the Operating Room. You will lead personalized care plans, coordinate across disciplines, and manage patient flow from admission to discharge, ensuring safe transitions and timely responses to changes in patient condition.

The role requires TN RN licensure (or compact state), and ACLS or BLS within the specified timelines, with a Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program."

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in TN or a multi-state Compact State prior to hire.
• ACLS within 180 days or BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care across multiple clinical disciplines to ensure alignment of the healthcare team.
• Oversee the patient journey from admission to discharge for safe, seamless transitions.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead the implementation and continuous monitoring of personalized care plans, ensuring every patient receives a high standard of treatment tailored to their specific recovery goals.
• Coordinate care across multiple clinical disciplines, acting as the central hub for communication to ensure the entire healthcare team is aligned and working toward the best patient outcome.
• Assess and facilitate the patient's journey from admission to discharge, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a safe, seamless, and well-prepared transition back to the community.
• Communicate critical changes in patient condition to the medical team in real-time, providing the precise clinical insights necessary for rapid and accurate intervention.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
