Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN, seeks an Operating Room General RN for a full-time daytime role. You will work in a high-stakes surgical suite, acting as a patient advocate and coordinating sterile field safety and OR operations.

The ideal candidate holds Tennessee RN licensure (or compact multi-state license) with BLS and ALS certifications, and a Diploma in Nursing. Prior circulator experience is preferred. Ascension offers comprehensive benefits and professional development.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or an active multi-state license (Compact State).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification within 6 months of hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Safety & Precision Sentinel: Serve as the final authority on the sterile field. You'll maintain absolute integrity over patient positioning, equipment optimization, and supply management, ensuring 100% accuracy from the first incision to the final closure.
• Master of OR Operations: Lead the rhythm of the room. By staying three steps ahead of the surgical team, you'll orchestrate the preparation of cutting-edge technology and supplies to ensure every procedure is executed flawlessly.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
