Job summary

Ascension Health in Kokomo, IN invites you to join our Operating Room team as a Registered Nurse. You’ll lead multidisciplinary coordination of care, monitor patient conditions in real time, translate physician orders into precise actions, and facilitate thorough discharge planning to ensure safe transitions.

Requires Indiana RN licensure and ACLS/BLS within defined windows; Diploma from an accredited nursing program is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing required.
• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire date; ACLS accepted.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date; BLS accepted.

• Translate complex physician orders into precise clinical actions that drive optimal recovery and patient outcomes.




• Facilitate comprehensive discharge planning to ensure a safe and successful transition for the patient and their family.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.




• One or more of the following required:




• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.




• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
