Ascension is seeking a dedicated nursing leader for St. Vincent Warrick Hospital in Boonville, IN.

The Med Surg Swing unit needs an experienced professional to lead daily nursing operations, manage staff assignments, and optimize resources to deliver population-appropriate patient care. You will mentor frontline clinical teams, drive performance feedback, and collaborate on hiring, training, and evaluations to ensure a skilled, engaged unit.

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure in Indiana
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date
• Experience in clinical leadership preferred

• Mentor and develop frontline clinical teams through active coaching, education, and performance feedback, fostering a supportive environment where nursing and support staff can thrive.
• Optimize unit productivity and resource allocation by monitoring daily patient needs, balancing staffing levels, and proactively managing variances to maintain high operational standards.
• Resolve patient care concerns and complaints efficiently using established facility channels, advocate for patient needs, and maintain a seamless, high-satisfaction care experience.
• Collaborate on talent and team growth by providing strategic input into hiring, training, and performance evaluations, ensuring the unit is staffed with skilled, motivated professionals.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Proven clinical leadership or charge nurse experience within an acute care or relevant specialized unit.
