Dell Seton Medical Center-UT in Austin, TX is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. The role features a day shift, full-time schedule (36 hours across three 12-hour shifts) with rotating weekends, focusing on coordinated interdisciplinary patient care and ongoing evaluation of plan execution.

The nurse will implement care plans, monitor patient status, and work with the healthcare team to meet discharge needs and physician orders.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration
  • Required Credential(s): Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Education
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
